Sorry peanuts and Cracker Jacks, this season the Padres are bringing flatbreads, craft beers, and a whole new lineup to Petco Park. Shawmut was proud to help update the old ballgame's concessions in a big way!
Shawmut worked alongside Gensler and with longtime partner Delaware North Companies on their new concession concepts. We refreshed the Seaside Market, the first fully integrated market inside a ballpark, Ballast Point's The Draft, a rooftop bar called the Stone Brewery, Phil's BBQ, and Rimel's, which has an outdoor patio and can accommodate up to 500.
The renovations included new finishes, lighting, custom furniture, and signage. In addition, the team also delivered and installed nine food carts and kiosks.
Our project team remarkably coordinated 28 owner-required vendors simultaneously, (which is double the number for a typical project this size), and the project was completed in just 6 weeks in time for the Padres' home opener. Concessions opened to rave reviews with zero errors on Opening Day (sorry, we had to go there!).
