To create its showroom in the heart of the Miami Design District, Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove turned to Shawmut and Zingg Design. At the center of the 7,500-square-foot showroom is a demonstration kitchen, with 20 live appliances that let customers try Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove products firsthand. Thirteen different kitchen displays—each with its own design—allow customers to envision the various ways they can style their own kitchens. The space also features a lounge, expansive wine room, and meeting room.
Having built the out-of-ground, two-story building that houses the showroom, Shawmut was extremely familiar with the space during the second-floor fit-out. The team installed more than 25 different types of tile and stone to create the unique kitchen displays, a 30-foot LED display at the ground level lobby, and a Christie panel screen on the second floor. Shawmut also implemented a dynamic lighting control system with integration into the AV system. The space boasts finishes such as cove lighting and a unique Bocci light fixture, tile and carpet flooring, decorative tile, and custom and display millwork.
The Miami showroom is one of 60 exclusive Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove showrooms across the globe in preeminent hubs for luxury design, including Manhattan, Costa Mesa, London, Hong Kong, and Cannes. The showrooms allow potential owners to experience the appliances firsthand in a no-pressure environment.
