Apple Tower Theatre, SoFi Stadium, G4 headquarters and broadcast studio, Glorya Kaufman Performing Arts Center, and what will be one of the tallest cross-laminated timber office buildings in Los Angeles at 843 N Spring Street in Chinatown. What do they all have in common? The leadership of Vincent Spataro.
Moving to Shawmut’s Los Angeles office a year after it was established in 2013, Vincent became an instant leader in the market, leading the construction of some of the most iconic retail spaces—from Louis Vuitton’s Rodeo Drive flagship to The Row on Melrose Place. Having built in LA since 2007, Vincent had already established relationships with leading architects, designers, subcontractors, and brands.
With an expertise in the finest finishes and fast-track timelines thanks to his robust retail portfolio, Vincent took on work in Shawmut’s sports venues division, building out its Southern California portfolio with projects at the Staples Center, Petco Park, and Santa Anita Park.
Fast forward seven years, and Vincent is leading the entire West region—comprised of Shawmut’s LA, Irvine, and Las Vegas offices—in commercial ground-up, tenant interior, sports venues, and retail work. As senior director, Vincent oversees all projects, teams, and operations within these sectors, applying his technical knowledge, presence in the market, and longstanding relationships to drive continued growth and success.
Vincent has led the West to many firsts, from its first performing arts center project to its first ground-up building. It’s no surprise that with this leadership, Shawmut West’s commercial revenue is slated to grow 91% year-over-year from 2021 to 2022.
With a focus on supporting the community, Vincent dedicates time to volunteer for The Posse Foundation, a comprehensive and renowned college access and youth leadership development program.
