BOSTON, MA – Bostonians have always loved lobster and now they have even more reason to indulge. Shawmut recently completed the highly anticipated Luke's Lobster in Boston's historic Back Bay. The 1,500 square foot project is the Maine-based company's first Boston location but it's clear it will have no problem endearing itself to the locals. The restaurant is quintessential New England with rustic design finishes including barn board wall panels, polished concrete floors, and reclaimed wood furniture.
In fact, the many of the materials were sourced from lakes and ponds throughout Maine. Located at 75 Exeter Street in Boston, Luke's Lobster required extensive coordination and planning because there are residential units above the space. This meant adhering to strict working hours and remaining cognizant of the neighbors and the neighborhood. Shawmut worked along a fast-track, 8-week schedule to turnover the project on-time.
