Building a 7,700 square foot restaurant in just twelve weeks is hard. Doing it without disrupting a single tenant is even harder. But not impossible. Just ask Fogo de Chão, the famed Brazilian steakhouse.
Hughes Landing in The Woodlands, Texas, a 66-acre mixed-use development that includes upscale apartments, offices, retail and an Embassy Suites hotel, is one of the hottest spots in the area. And now it’s about to become even more popular. In partnership with ID Studio 4, Shawmut Design and Construction recently completed Fogo de Chão, the Brazilian steakhouse’s fourth Texas restaurant.
Situated along Lake Woodlands, Fogo de Chão offers guests an al fresco dining experience along with a breathtaking lakeside view. But the amazing views aren’t limited to the outdoors. Inside, diners are greeted by a stunning chandelier made out of hand blown individual pieces of glass, and a glass-encased wine display room that houses a deep array of fine and unexpected selections.
What guests will never see, though, is the round-the-clock, meticulously coordinated, and often complicated work it took for Shawmut to bring in the 12-week project on time. From scheduling and staffing to pre- and post-construction, the project team worked closely with the owner and developer to ensure there were no surprises or delays—and no disruption to surrounding tenants.
Both Fogo de Chão and Shawmut have a 5-star reputation for delivering customer service excellence. Their latest project together will only reinforce that status.
