Boston Medical Center has completed the second part of a $300 million campus redesign with the opening of its new Women and Infants Center.
The 48,000-square-foot Women and Infants Center is housed on the fourth floor of its Yawkey building. The new center is designed around a practice that has mothers and newborns staying in the same room while in the hospital.
“We are always looking for new ways to enhance the patient experience and the options we provide for pain management, including non-pharmacological approaches,” said Dr. Aviva Lee-Parritz, chair of obstetrics and gynecology at BMC.
